Rose G. Amedeo, born June 2,1921, found her way back home on Saturday, March 11, 2006. Rose lived a full and complete life and everyone she met is better for having known her. Strong in life, strong in spirit and strong in giving of herself, she always came through with a smile. Rose gave joy and comfort for everyone she knew, often times in spite of her own pain or illness. Her family has been left humbled by her sacrifice and strengthened by her caring guidance. Rose lived most of her life in Akron after being born in New York and spending 15 years in Florida. She is now re-united with her husband, Anthony B. Amedeo, whose loss she never forgot. Her journey from this world was guided by her 8 siblings, husband Anthony, son Tony Amedeo and son-in-law Jerry Wellendorf. Remaining behind to carry on with the example she set are daughters Debbie Zelazo and Jo Wellendorf. Along with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Rose's amazing heart and legacy of caring will continue forever through all of us. We all miss you dearly Rose and Godspeed. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Church.
