Rosemary L. Jones, 83, passed away at her home on Friday, January 20, 2006.
Born in Collinsville, OK September 28, 1922 . She was a lifetime resident of the Akron area and graduated from Central High School. Rosemary was an active member at The Chapel and also involved in the Womens for Christ, several bible studies and volunteered at various hospitals. Rosemary was an accomplished seamstress. She was also an avid golfer and bridge player. Rosemary was a very devoted wife to Norman, whom she was married to for 64 years. She was also a very devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her mother Marie Mantell and sister Isabelle Francis. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband Norman, daughters Linda (Richard) Oldack, Barbara ( Bill) Dunnington, Normandee Jones, and Jennifer (Mike) Smith. Her grandchildren Holly (Jeff) McGhee, John (Tracy) Eck, Mike (Terry) Oldack, Marnie Oldack, Alissa and Matthew Benson, Joey Dunnington, Angelo and Krista Smith. Her great-grandchildren Tyler, Sam, Maggie, Jack, Evie and Morgan and brothers Frank and Robert Mantell.
Calling hours will be Tuesday January 24, 2006 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. Officiating Rev. Jim Dull.
