Rosemary A. Traub passed away at age 94 on January 25, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anton "Tony" Traub; parents, Margaret (Stith) and Henry Koerber; brothers, John and James Koerber, and Richard Stith; and nephews Robert and Steven Koerber. She is survived by her brother Henry Koerber of North Carolina; sister, Dolores Emmerson Bean; children, Nicol, Kristin, Melissa (Donald) Oker and Eric (Michelle) of California; grandchildren, Christopher (Cherise) Wise, Donald T. Oker II, Oliver (Nan) Oker, Charlene, Pamela and Eric (Mary) Traub; god-son Kurt Koerber; 5 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosemary, one of the first female real estate Brokers in Ohio, was the proud owner of her own real estate company Akron Area Realty. She was politically active and sat on the advisory committee to Congressman Seiberling. She was a member of St. Sebastian Church as well as active in the Universal Spiritualist Movement.
Visitation will be held from 3-5pm on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. A memorial service will begin at 5pm.
Per health department regulations, facial masks must be worn at the funeral home and social distancing is to be observed.
