Rosemary L. Wallace

Rosemary L. Wallace, 60, passed away on her birthday at Akron General Medical Center. She was born September 27, 1945 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Melvin & Wilma (Austin) Mitchell and was a lifelong resident of Akron. Rosemary was a graduate of East High School and later worked in the cafeteria at Mason Elementary. She was a member of the Barry Manilow Fan Club and her life centered around her family. Rosemary will be greatly missed by her husband of 40 years, James Wallace; daughter, Jenise Sammeter; son, James (Erin) Wallace; grandchildren, Madison and Tristan Wallace; brother, Butch Mitchell; and her loving dogs, Fluffy and Scruffy. Calling hours will be Friday from 5 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Eloy Pacheco officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Greater Akron, 4904 Quick Rd., Peninsula OH 44264.
