Rosetta Myra Ann Tucker, age 82 of Akron passed away peacefully at her daughter's home on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. She was born in Memphis, TN on July 31, 1940, a daughter of the late Mary E. {Jones} Wright, Robert Wright and Leroy Grimes.
In addition to her parents, Rosetta was preceded in death by her husband William Tucker Sr., son William Tucker Jr. and sister Theresa Wright.
Rosetta will always be loved by her children Deirdre (Ty) Davis, Curtis (Shelly) Tucker and Jada (Gordon) Spears; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Emma Boykin, Terri (Tony) Burrell, Carmen Douglas, Mary Flagg, Gwen Allen and Sandra Hamilton; brothers Donald (Karen) Douglas and Duane Perkins; mother-in-law Marsha Parks; aunts Francesca Brumley and Janith (Otis) Lawrence; uncles Don (Yvonne) and Leon Jones; sisters-in-law Joyce and Rosemary Tucker; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Rosetta retired from Summa St. Thomas Hospital after 24 years of service as a patient care coordinator. She was a longtime member of House of The Lord Church, and was involved in the women's bible study group, Step of Seniors.
Rosetta greatly enjoyed traveling, and was known to board a cruise ship every now and again. She also loved bowling and line dancing, and was a member of a line dancing group. Her family was the most important thing in her life, just as she was to them.
Rosetta's family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Nemer and his staff, as well as Summa Hospice for their compassionate care in her final weeks.
