Ross William Berger, Jr., age 67, of Akron, Ohio, died on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at his home.
He was born on May 28, 1951 in Akron, the son of the late Ross William and Helen Moynell (nee Stoneking) Berger, Sr.
Ross was an honorably discharged US Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Berger retired from the US Post Office as a foreman. He loved to work on cars, and listen to music. His greatest joy was spending time with his daughters, grandchildren, and great-granddaughters.
Survivors include his daughters, Irene Joseph, Tina Setser, Diane (David) Wagner, and Billie Jo Moore; his grandchildren, Jodi (Michael) Joseph, Ronald "BooBoo" Joseph, III, Cody (Makenna) Setser, Dylan Setser, Brandon Wagner, Nicole Wagner, Candace Kendrick, Logan Moore, and Levi Moore; and his great-granddaughters, Rylee and Raygen Root. His siblings also survive, Madeline (Rick) Diefendorf, Linda Boyd, Raymond (Kim) Berger, David (Margie) Berger, and Edgar (Ally) Berger; one sister-in-law, Phyllis Berger; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Other than his parents, Ross was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Johnny Setser; and his brother, Thomas Berger.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, where Pastor Gerald Justice will celebrate Ross' life.
Family and friends may visit from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
Burial will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.
