Roy A. Wagner Sr.
October 15, 1926 — October 23, 2022
Roy A. Wagner Sr., 96, went to meet his Heavenly Father with his daughter at his side on October 23, 2022. He was born on October 15, 1926 in Akron, Ohio.
Roy was a World War II Naval veteran and retiree of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. He was also a Sunday School teacher and active member of Arlington Memorial Baptist Church, followed by Crossroads Church.
He was a great husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, living by example. He was loved and will be truly missed.
Roy was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Carolyn in 2021. Together they faithfully raised four loving children who cherish and celebrate his life; Roy A. Jr. (Nancy), Linda S. (Rodney) Howard, Diane R. (Scott) Harold and Ronald E. (Brenda). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
All are welcome to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Monday, October 31 from 11:30 until the funeral service begins at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Harold Bradley officiating. Interment with well-deserved military honors to follow at Hillside Memorial Park, where Roy will be laid to rest with Carolyn.
