Ruby Turnbloom, age 100 of Akron, passed away on February 11, 2022.
Ruby was born on June 10, 1921 in Jerrico, TN to Samuel and Vergi (Goach) Toombs. She was a member of Arlington Memorial Baptist Church in Akron. Ruby volunteered at the food bank at the church. She was a member of the Ellet Seniors Group.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph, brothers, Sport Toombs, Jesse King, and Chuck King, sisters, Jane, and Janet Spangler, and step-son, Joseph Turnbloom, Jr.
Ruby is survived by her children, David (Geraldine) Turnbloom, and Linda (Don) Outterson, grandchildren, Danielle (Eric) Cox, Amanda (Phillip) Soles, Matthew (Cassie) Turnbloom, 6 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and multiple nieces, nephews and friends.
Per Ruby's wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
