Rudy M. Clelland, 67, passed away on July 24, 2011.
The son of Francis Clelland and Cora Whisman, he was born on March 24, 1944 in Gastonia, NC.
Rudy had an amazing sense of humor and loved playing practical jokes on his family and friends. He served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict. He was extremely proud when his son "Boop" joined the Marines.
His likeness can be seen on the faces of his children and grandchildren; from the red hair some have to the large overbite all of them have; to the freckles upon freckles, their ornery smiles and the glint from his baby blue eyes.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jackie; sons, Rudy "Boop" (Kimberly), Rudy (Courtney); daughters, April (Michael Cooper) Clelland-King, Rhonda (Ed Sphar) Jackson; grandchildren, Sommer, Dakota, Dalton King, Marshall, Chloe, Elijah, Seth Clelland, Kaitlin, Emily Jackson and Nicholas Hornacek; great-grandchildren, Landyn, Madelyn Fohner; sisters, Judy Fana, Marie Whisman; brothers, Kenny Whisman, Charles Clelland.
