RueNelle Durst, 79, went home to be with the Lord on January 11, 2010. She was born September 6, 1930 to the late Ross and Lurlie Rutherford in Pikeville, KY, but lived most of her life in Ohio. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lloyd Dale Allen; grandson, Matthew Allen Lewis; and brother, Ritchie Rutherford. She is survived by her beloved husband of 34 years, Ronald William "Bill" Durst; children, Linda Stemple, Joyce (Rich) Lewis, David Allen, and Dennis (Amy) Durst; five grandchildren, Kelly and Ryan Lewis, Erin Stemple, Abigail and Allison Durst; and other close relatives and friends. She was an active member of The Chapel and its Prime Time ABF class. She loved serving the Lord and being a wife, mom and grandmother. Funeral service will be Friday, January 15, at 7 p.m., at the Memorial Chapel in The Chapel in Akron, 135 Fir Hill, with calling hours 2 hours prior, Pastor Lynn Warner officiating. Private interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Chapel deacon fund, 135 Fir Hill, Akron, OH 44304, or Cooper Cancer Center at Summa Hospital.
