Russell Clarence Bolyard, Sr.
Russell Clarence Bolyard, Sr., 61, passed away October 17, 2013. He was born in Ravenna on July 28, 1952 to the late Clarence and Mary Bolyard. He graduated from Field High School and was employed with Multiflow Distributors.
Russ was a very talented carpenter and was always quick to assist others in building. He loved building puzzles and model cars, attending car shows, drag racing, fishing, and watching deer out the kitchen window. He enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. Above all, he loved Ohio State. Russ never had an unkind word for anyone and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Russ was preceded in death by his niece, Tracie Wiley and great-niece, Allison Beckett. He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Danielle Bolyard; sons, John (Jamie) Garden and Russell (Leslie) Bolyard, Jr.; siblings, Gene (Carol), Jerry (Betty), Marilyn (Paul) Linamen, Gayle McElwain, Shirley (Ron) Stayer, and Bud (Carolyn); grandchildren, John Joseph and Jordan Patrick Garden, Elizabeth Rose Bolyard and Russell Clarence Bolyard III; best friends, Pat and Pearl Pullman; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial service with Pastor Brenda Young officiating will be held on Wednesday October 30 at 1:30 pm at Cornerstone Free Methodist Church, 578 Killian Rd., Akron 44319. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Akron or Ravenna.
