Russell Joseph Green

Russell Joseph Green, age 59, went home to be with the Lord on the 12th of May, 2009, after battling ALS "Lou Gehrig's disease" since 2006. Born in Akron on April 6, 1950, Russell was the loving son of Phyllis Charlotte (Callahan) and Clyde Raymond Green. Russell leaves behind his loving wife of 19 years, Mary Ann (Bardo-Rayman); children Shawn Michael (Mary Cristen) Green, Steven Patrick Green William Earl Rayman, II (Lisa Marie), Michael Douglas Rayman (Sarah Joy), Cynthia Elaine (Rayman) Herttna (Matthew); brother Ron Green (Ana); sister Joan Green-Davies (Jim); grandchildren Emilee Jeanette Green, Sarah Rebekah and Jake William Rayman, Elliana Joy Rayman, Rachel Lynn, Matthew David, Daniel Josiah, and Josie Anne Herttna; and many friends, neighbors, co-workers and acquaintances throughout his life. He was a graduate of East High, an employee of General Tire Distribution Center, and the owner/founder of Green and Company Cleaning for the last twelve years. To Russell's wife, children, grandchildren, relatives, friends, and neighbors, "Waitin' for ya in Heaven." Calling hours will be Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m., Rev. Sherman Bailey of Chapel of Prayer Baptist officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ALS Foundation or Hospice Care Center.
