Russell A. Mcgovern, Jr.
June 28, 1939 — November 26, 2021
Russell A. McGovern, Jr., 82, passed away peacefully November 26, 2021. Born in Akron, Ohio to Russell, Sr. and Ann (Fulkerson) McGovern, he was a lifelong area resident. He was a proud U. S. Air Force Veteran. Russ loved watching the Cleveland Browns, working on his cars and listening to music.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Lee McGovern. He is survived by his children, Russ McGovern, Lee McGovern, Michelle Steele, and will be sadly missed by sisters, Joyce Kulton, Gale (Rick) Knecht, Diane McGuire; several loving nieces and nephews.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. He will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with military honors on a date that will be announced.
