Russell "Thomas" Penix

Russell "Thomas" Penix, 70, passed away on March 1, 2022. He was born on March 19, 1951 the son of the late William and Vadie Penix.
Russ enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, and going to Kentucky to spend time with family at the family homestead. He also liked the many adventures of four wheeling and spending time during the holidays with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved son Russell "Rusty" Penix; brothers William Penix, John Penix, and Glenn Penix.
Russ is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Joan M. Penix; daughter Tami (Jeff) Kline; grandchildren Sarah Kline and Michael (Sydney) Kline; brother Neal (Lynn) Penix; sisters-in-law Linda Penix, Carol Penix, Christine (Tony) Monaco; brother-in-law Kennard (Becky) Hays; uncle James (aunt Shirley) Fannin; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and he will be dearly missed by his four-legged companions, Shadow and Rascal.
Visitation will be held Monday (March 14, 2022) from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron) where services will be held Tuesday, March 15 at 11:00AM with Pastor Karson Collins officiating.
Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery, Randolph.
