Russell W. Tritt

Russell W. Tritt, 86, of Springfield Twp. passed away on May 18, 2017 after a long illness. Russ owned and operated The Glens Tavern on North Hill before retiring to Panama City Beach where he managed a motel on the beach for 15 years. Russ and his wife Ruth returned to the area in 2005 to be closer to family. He was active in The Grand Lodge #83 F. & A.M. and enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his dog "Einstein."

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thelma and Russell T. Tritt; first wife, JoAnn (Popovich) Tritt; daughter, Darlene and son, Rick Tritt, and step-son, James Pavelko.

Russ will be missed by his loving wife, Ruth Tritt of 29 years; children, Rusty Tritt of Lakeworth, FL, Diana (Randy) Sonnie of Sidney, NE and Jeff Tritt of Akron, OH; step-children, Rick Pavelko of Fairborn, OH, Marc Pavelko of Akron, OH, Deborah (Mike) McNeill of Columbia, SC, Samantha Tammen of Akron, OH and Beverly Pavelko of Barberton, OH and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held at 1 pm on May 25, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
