Russell Yanke, 62, of Akron, passed away on January 6, 2022.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 8, 1959 to the late Joseph M. and Olga J. Yanke. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Olga D. Yanke.
Russell retired from Yanke Orthotic and Prosthetic Services of Canton, Inc. He was currently residing at The Colony Healthcare Center in Tallmadge, Ohio.
He will be dearly missed by his siblings, Mark (Lynn) Yanke, Joseph N. (Margaret) Yanke, and Diane (Dannen) Yanke-Gibson; and his seven nephews and their families.
Russell had a pure heart that touched the lives of many. He will be remembered for his positive attitude and sunny disposition. He was an angel here on Earth and now in Heaven.
Cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a contribution in memory of Russell be sent to: Summa Foundation, Emergency Medicine Residency Operations Fund, 141 N. Forge Street, Akron, OH 44304.
