Ruth Beres

Ruth Beres, 91, departed to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 9, 2018. She was born in Akron, Ohio on June 16, 1926 to late parents William and Helen Barath. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She loved spending time with family and friends. Ruth attended the Chapel and Hope Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years.

In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth, Edward, Bert and Al; and sisters, Thelma and Irene. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Steve; son, Mark; daughter, Lauren (Matthew) Zaubi; grandchildren, Aaron (Kate) Zaubi, Megan and Sarah Zaubi; siblings, Viola, Evelyn, Eleanor, Donald; and special caregiver, Kathy Mullins.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am - 12:00pm on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service will begin at 12:00pm. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to Haven of Rest Harvest Home, 24 N. Prospect St., Akron, OH 44304.
