Ruth Dianne Glass, 71, passed away on April 18, 2009. She was born in Akron on November 22, 1937. Ruth retired from First Energy and had been a member of St. Martha Catholic Church where she sang soprano in the choir. She enjoyed crocheting and oil painting and at one time had a painting displayed at the Cleveland Art Museum. Preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Julia Swink; brother-in-law Reimund Lute; and numerous aunts and uncles. Survivors include her sister Sandra Lute; cousins Norma Jean Rosenkrans, Shirley Strader, and Susan Smith; and aunt Rose Bell. A memorial service will be held Friday, 7 p.m. at Chapel Hill Church 1160 Howe Ave., Rev. David Bell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels.
