Ruth Elinor (Lythgoe) Mason
Ruth Elinor (Lythgoe) Mason, 79, passed away on September 28, 2007 at Hospice Care Center after a brief illness. She was born on January 16, 1928 to the late Clifford & Maude Lythgoe. Ruth was a proud member of the V.F.W. and Moose Clubs of Mogadore and the Akron Turner Club, where her true passion of enjoyment was with all her friends. Thank you to all of you for your friendship and concerns. Preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Mason (1/26/07); her loving sons, Roy Allan Thye and Dani Charles Mason; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda & Phil Finch. She is survived by her daughter, Jinn (Calvin) Gillispie and granddaughter, Callie; son, Donald R. Mason II (Kathy); step-daughters, Dona (Larry) Snyder and Dale Learner and their children and grandchildren; nephews, David and Terry Finch and their families. A special thank you to her favorite neighbors, Charlotte and Patsy; her hairstylist, Charlene and friends, Barb and Gloria for all their kindness and friendship. Ruth will forever be known as the "Lady in Red". Memorial contributions may be made to VNS & Hospice Development Fund, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron OH 44333. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and their will be no services. Burial of cremated remains will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
