Ruth L. Erhard
Ruth L. Erhard, 86, passed away on February 17, 2008. She was born in Akron, OH on April 4, 1921 and had resided in Florida for the past several years. Ruth had been employed at General Tire for several years. She had attended Akron Baptist Temple and was affiliated with several senior citizens groups in the area. She will be remembered as a gentle, loving person with a heart of gold. Preceded in death by her husband George W. Erhard; grandson Jeffery Wilson; sister Halcyon Martin; and brother Harold Price. Survivors include daughter Sandra (Paul) Wilson; son Gary (Trish) Erhard; grandchildren Kim (Joe) Stone and Lynn; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Anna Mae Price, Flo Fugitt, and Louise Erhard; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Wednesday, 4-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m., Pastor Jeff Matthews officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Green Valley United Methodist Church, 620 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd., Akron, OH 44319.
