Ruth E. Fogel, age 86, of Coventry, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2020. She was born in Chester, WV to Hilbert and Verna Streets, on February 19, 1934.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Jack and siblings, Albert "Sonny" Streets and Gerry Smith.
She will be dearly missed by her children Guy and Anissa Fogel; grandson Craig; great-granddaughter Emma; sister Arliss.
Ruth loved her career in retail. She knew her customers well, connecting with each of them well enough to know when an item came in that they would fancy, and she'd give each a call to let them know. Ruth was also a talented ballet teacher in her teens, and was the first in her family to graduate from high school. She considered herself a Naturist, as her spirit connected with nature and animals. Ruth greatly enjoyed her times with extended family, especially at reunions and holiday gatherings.
Ruth thrived in her retirement, often embarrassing folks, as she knew she'd get away with it. She was often described as sassy, with a fun sense of humor and a rare, but truly joyful laugh. Some even described Ruth as a "cantankerous spitfire," who enjoyed her times alone, "but was never lonely." One of her favorite things to say was that "things always work out as they are supposed to."
