Ruth G. Cave
Ruth G. Cave, 99, of Akron, passed away June 8, 2008 at Akron General Medical Center. She was born October 6, 1908 in Lancaster, Ohio. Ruth's whole life centered on her family and that is where she found her most joy. She also enjoyed singing and dancing and sang on the radio with her sister in the early years. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Merl J. Cave on February 1, 1990; son, William O. Cave, Sr.; 4 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Eupha E. Cave; grandchildren, Kenneth, William, John, Balinda, Scott and Kristy; 12 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Scott Campbell officiating. Interment will take place in South Perry, Ohio (Hocking County).
