Ruth Gifford

Ruth "Martine" Gifford (Hupp), 72, of Uniontown, passed away October 2nd surrounded by her family. Born on November 26, 1944 in Portage Lakes, Martine graduated from Coventry High School. In 2009, she retired after 28 years from Fred W. Albrecht Grocery Company (Acme).

Preceded in death by her parents Don and Martine Hupp, Martine is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Butch; children Denise (Randy) Goldinger, Jerry (Olivia) Gifford, Teresa (Gene) Hesson and Jana (Mike) Weaver; grandchildren Laurie, Randy (Jill), Hannah (Nathen), Harrison, Camden, Samantha and Madison; great-grandchildren Zaidyn and Zhyler; sister Donna (Jack) Licause; niece Jennifer (Mark) Jacoby; nephew Tim (Jamie) Sherrill and special friends LaVonne and Danny Wise and Faith Olsen.

Martine encouraged and supported all of her children throughout Girl Scouts, Boys Scouts and Band. She shared an extremely close bond with her sister Donna and she enjoyed playing cards with her long-time friends. She will always be loved and missed by all.
