Ruth E Haasz, 85, passed away January 28, 2005. She was born August 17, 1919 in Akron, OH to the late Elizabeth and Joseph Lingel. Ruth grew up and lived on a farm in Randolph, OH until she was married. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Nick Haasz, Jr. and 6 brothers and sisters. She is survived by sons, James (Donna) of Uniontown, Donald (Diane) of Canton, Robert (Elaine) of Akron, and Dave Haasz of Akron; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all of those who loved her. She will be forever in their hearts. Family will receive friends on Tuesday at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. from 6-9 PM and Wednesday at the church from 10 AM until beginning of service. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Eiwen officiating. Interment at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 139 S. High St., Akron, OH 44308 and/or the SUMMA Health Systems of Akron.
