Ruth I. O'Donnell

Ruth I. O'Donnell, 89, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 22, 2017. She was born on February 21, 1927 in McClainsville, OH to James and Mary Travis. Ruth was the youngest of 9 siblings. She enjoyed sewing, working in the yard and spending time with her family. Ruth was a member of the 99 club at Grace Cathedral for many years

She was preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Bill and June Eldridge; her siblings; brother-in-law, Bill Eldridge; sister-in-law, Marilyn Parks.

Ruth is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, William O'Donnell; brother-in-laws, John (Joyce), Walter (Karen), Richard, Bob (Sharon), Danny (Marilyn) Eldridge; sister-in-laws, Jane (Bob) Danco, Carole Eldridge; special nephews, Richard, Micky (Helen) Lynn and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss Ruth dearly.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, Ohio 44305. A funeral service will follow with Minister Robert Eldridge officiating.

Interment will take place at Hillside Memorial Park.
