Ruth Jones

Ruth Ann Jones, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on November 29, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Akron on March 28, 1926 to Hugh 'Edward' and Anna Pauline (nee Tate) Woods. She was a beautiful lady, a loving inspiration to her family and friends. We are blessed to have had her in our lives and look to the time we will meet again. Ruth belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of the East Market Street Christian Church and New Horizons Christian Church. Ruth enjoyed reading, time spent with her family, taking vacations, Sunday dinners at her house, Bingo and playing cards.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Harold M. Jones, Jr.; children, Deborah (Joe) Biondi of Stow, OH, Douglas E. Jones of Akron, OH and Diane (Stephen) Mitchell of Oak Ridge, TN; grandchildren, Ginger (Jason) Cook, Andrew (Katie) Hoffman, Daniel Hoffman, Patti (Steve) Agnew, Leah Jones, Rachel (fiancé, Robert Fisher, IV) Jones, Stephanie (Tom) Farmer and Katie Mitchell; great grandchildren, Dylan, Casey, Ayla Hoffman and Evie Agnew.

Private family services will be observed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ruth's honor may be made to Summa Hospice, American Diabetes Association or New Horizons Christian Church in Akron.
