Ruth E. Leibert

Ruth E. Leibert, age 91, of Akron, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Akron City Hospital.
She was born on March 7, 1929 in Clarksburg, West Virginia, to the late Roy and Ada (nee Amos) Saunders.
Ruth was a housekeeper for many years in many businesses and the Holiday Inn. She loved sports, especially baseball, football and NASCAR. She enjoyed watching old western movies and reading western novels. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Survivors include her five children, Sandra (Larry) Johnson, Debra Matthews, Stanley (Ronda) Leibert Jr., Barbara (Michael) Bean and Lester (Anita) Leibert; nine grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and one great-great-grandchild on the way.
Other than her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Leibert; and her siblings, Junior Saunders, Bill Saunders, Gene Saunders, Thomas "Tommy" Saunders and infant sister, Rose Saunders.
There will not be any calling hours or services and all arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron.
In lieu of flowers, should anyone want to make a memorial contribution, it should be made to the Kidney Foundation of Summit County, 4069 Glencairn Grove, Stow, Ohio 44224, in Ruth's memory.
