Ruth M. "Goose" "Beesh" Few, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was born on November 30, 1923 in Akron, Ohio to the late Thomas and Clotilda Jenkins.
Ruth enjoyed reading, bingo, bowling, playing cards and going to casinos.
Ruth is survived by her sons, Gary (Anna Virant) Few and Terry (Alicia) Few; grandchildren; Dawn, Mark, Terry Paul and Todd Frederick; great-grandchildren; Savannah, James, Aliya, Willa May and Riley; brother, Bud (Mary) Jenkins; special friends, Rick (Deb) Phelps; friends, Barbara Robertson and Grace McCray of Florida, other nieces, nephews and relatives.
Special thanks to Hospice of Summa and Renee Duke for their outstanding care.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Leonard Few.
Friends may call 5-8 pm on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305. A funeral mass will take place at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at St. Martha's Parish, 300 E. Tallmadge Ave, Akron, OH 44310. Final resting place will be at Crown Hill Burial Park in Twinsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
