Ruth Nancy Barnes, 88, of Springfield Township, passed away April 15, 2007 at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital. She was born August 18, 1919 in Akron, Ohio to the late Samuel & Mary Jane (Bridges) Kysor. Ruth was a devoted Christian Scientist. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Barnes; sisters, Hildred McMasters, Leorma Lester and Hazel Miller; brothers, Milford, Wilford and Charles Kysor. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Glover of Woodstock IL, Nancy J. (David) Bartlett of Uniontown, Carolyn A. (George) Moore of Springfield Twp., Kathleen (Garry) Hively of Springfield Twp., and Mary Alice Barnes of Akron; son, Charles Eric Barnes of Tallmadge; grandchildren, Cory, Christine, Laurie, David, Kerry, Brent, Jesse, Glenn, Sam and Christopher Bryan; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Logan, Nicole, Isaac, Jordan, Justin, Joseph, Daniel, Christopher, Noah and Alex; sisters, Maxine Crandall of Las Vegas NV, Nellie Steffy of Stow, Mary Ellen Kysor Abraham of Simi Valley CA; brother, Jim (Patty) Kysor of Simi Valley CA. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. with Captain Tom Grace officiating.
