Ruth M. Weidaw, 71, passed away on October 12, 2006. Born November 10, 1934, in Akron to the late Howard and Hazel Gillenwater. Ruth enjoyed playing Bingo, cards, and gardening. She was a great listener and always gave good advice to those in need. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and her dear kitty Mendelev. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her niece Phyllis. Survivors include her loving husband Clyde of 51 years; son James (Karen); daughter Kimberly (Duane Mills) Cates; grandson Jeremy; sister Ann Mellinger; and many beloved extended family members and friends. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, 7:30 p.m., at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Family and friends may gather one hour prior to the service.
