Ruth Ann White (Nee Banks)

Ruth Ann White (nee Banks), 58, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on March 9, 2019. She was born in Michigan on November 12, 1960 to the late Leon Williams and Mary Alice Banks. She was known as Tootsie to those that knew and loved her. Tootsie devoted her time to family and caring for others. She was a faithful believer, having accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at a young age. She will be dearly missed by everyone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandmother who raised her, Edna Poole (Sharpley); father-in-law, J.C. White; brothers-in-law, William Koger, Curtis White, and Gregory McKinney. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 40 years, L.C. White; daughter Mary White; granddaughter, Merzaides White; great-granddaughter, Majiezty Alcee White; mother-in-law, Emma G. White; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Johnny White, Samuel White, James White (Anthony), Emma J. White, and Pearl White; sisters and brother of Louisiana, Sharon Shaw, Tammie Washington Gasim, and Larry Williams; nieces and nephews, Robert White (Takisha), Stephanie White, Anthony White, Tina McKinney, Lynette White, Theo King, Sasha King, and Tanisha White; a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, uncles, cousins, and friends. She also leaves her special friends, Janice Johnson, Shannon Saulsbury, and Richard Warren. Tootsie's family wishes to thank Will and Lorice Spragling as well as the entire family, Marilyn Wilborn, Stephanie Spade, Tamika Johnson, Tanisha Willis, the staff at Fresenius Kidney Care Center, the Akron Fire Department, Summa Health ICU, and two her drivers Will and Mike for all the care given to her. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 11 a.m. with visitation from 10-11 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, Pastor Donald Jordan Sr. officiating. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Park in Bedford Heights.
