Ruth Susanna Wilcox, 86, of Akron, passed away on December 2, 2022. She was born on August 17, 1936 to Cornie and Wilbert Goldinger.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Carl W. Wilcox Sr; siblings, Sylvia, Daniel, Junipher, Herk and Alice; grandchildren, Jenafer and Charles.
She is survived by her brother, David Goldinger; her children, Denise (Dave), Carl (Karen), DeeDee (Mike), James (Michelle) and Ruthe (Arlo); 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and many extended family!
Ruth was the epitome of a bad-ass mom, and took no S*** from anyone! Always there for family no matter what, Ruth was a true best friend to her kids.
She was a voracious reader, often finishing 20 books a week. Ruth met several of her favorite authors, the highlight of which was Stephen King.
Always "My Girl".
