Ruth "Jo" Wright

Ruth "Jo" Wright, 81, passed at her residence and went home to be with the Lord on January 30, 2020. Born March 22, 1938 in Akron, Ohio. She had been an active member of Grace Baptist Church, where she served as a Kitchen Angel. Jo was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Hubert D. Wright; step-son, John Wright; and sisters, Roberta Sprague and Sandra VanHorn. She is survived by her children, Ruth (Bob) Collier, Peggy (Mark) Bullock, Judy (Jim) Wilkins, Lora (Thomas) Terrell; step-children, Robert, Judy, David, Cheryl, Kenny; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Jean Stetler; and brothers, Richard and Walter VanHorn.

Visitation Sunday, February 2 from 4-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service Monday, February 3 at 10am at Grace Baptist Church, 704 N. Firestone Blvd, Akron. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron to follow.
