"REUNITED"
Ruzica "Rose" Rees (nee Markov)
Our beloved Rose was reunited with her loving husband Harry A. Rees in the Lord's garden on November 12, 2004.
Born in Akron as Ruzica Markov, she resided in Goodyear Heights her entire life. In her younger days, she was a "Rosie the Riveter" for Goodyear Aerospace working in the airdock and had attended the recent Corsair Homecoming. After marriage and children, she began working for the Akron Public Schools at Seiberling elementary as the "Lunch Lady," as the children who knew her then still remember her now. She also served as a PTA president for two terms at Seiberling and kept in contact with school personnel long after she retired. Rose enjoyed traveling, golfing, and swimming. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of VFW #8487 and The Seventh Day Adventist Church. Rose is survived by sons, Timothy (Kathey), Craig (Terri), and Daniel; grandchildren, Valerie, Timmy, Adam, Michelle, Sammy, Cassidy, and Daniel; sister, Dorothy Petrochuck, as well as numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. The family wishes to express extreme gratitude to all the medical staff and friends that have assisted in her care this past year. You have been special angels. Freinds and family will be welcomed Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 17 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Ted Bartter of The Seventh Day Adventist Church officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
