Sally Gay
AKRON – Sally Gay, 82, passed away December 4, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred & Marco Medjed; and her siblings, Marko Medjed, Branko Medjed, Dorothy Pape and Millie Medjed. She resided many years in Akron and was a faithful employee of A & P, Valu King and Giant Eagle supermarkets. She is survived by her son, Michael (Sandi) Gay; grandchildren, Melanie & Steven Gay; brother, Samuel (Dorothy Smith) Medjed; sister, Ann Wright; brother-in-law, Joseph Pape; and nieces, Julie (Tim) Miller and Kellie (Bob) Toth. She enjoyed traveling in her retirement and being with her family. Special thanks to the nurses and staff of the Chapel Hill Community Nursing Home, Canal Fulton and to her "special" friends, Diane, Carol and Betsy. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 9, from 6 to 8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. A private funeral service is to be held with Rev. Thomas McCann officiating.
