Sally L. Lympany

Sally L. Lympany passed away on February 14, 2023 at the age of 81. She was born on October 6, 1941 in Akron, Ohio to the late Samuel and Helen Whitmer. Sally graduated from East High School and went on to earn her bachelor's degree from the University of Akron. She worked 42 years as a Registered Nurse for Akron General Medical Center. She loved tending to her flower garden, vacationing in Nantucket Island, jigsaw puzzles, reading anything she could get her hands on, and playing cards. She loved all things history, especially anything related to Ohio, the Civil War and Revolutionary War.

In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Alan Lympany; sister, Joyce Pitrone; and brother-in-law, John Pitrone.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, John (Katherine), Brad and Michael (Brandy) Lympany; brothers, Don (Joyce), Dave (Donna), Bob (Cindy), and Roger (Sandy) Whitmer; grandchildren, Hannah, Lindsay, Trent and Oliver; great-grandchildren, Carson and Stella; and countless other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 11-1:00p.m. with a funeral service at 1:00p.m. with Pastor Gary Smith officiating.
