Sam Rosa, Jr.
Sam Rosa, Jr., 85, born August 30, 1920, passed away on December 27, 2005. Sam was a WWII veteran serving with the US Army as a medic. He enjoyed bowling, going to supper clubs, and animals. He was employed by the Akron Vet Hospital and the Summit Co. Animal Shelter. Sam also enjoyed working for the Polsky Department Store at Summit Mall. He belonged to the Owl's Club until it closed and was a member of the Polish American Club. Sam enjoyed traveling around the USA, especially Virginia, New Mexico, Arizona, and Las Vegas. He was preceded in death by his mother; brothers Joe and Angelo; sister Mary Petraco. Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Della; son Samuel; daughter Sandra (Bill) Frohnapfel; grandchildren Shane David and Lauren Frances. Special thanks to Akron City Hospital and Cuyahoga Falls Country Place for their care and service. Cremation has taken place and private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
