Samantha Nicole Rafferty

Samantha Nicole Rafferty (West), 34, went to be with the Lord on September 9, 2012. Samantha was born on January 26, 1978 in Barberton. She was a 1996 graduate of Waterloo High School and a 2003 graduate of Kent State University, of Pre Law. She was currently pursuing her Master's Degree at the University of Phoenix. Samantha enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles with her companion, Bruce Harrington and spending time with her family, especially her children.

She is survived by daughters, Courtney and Amber; son, Dylan; parents, John and Diane Shrigley; brother, Anthony; stepbrother, Michael; stepsister, Kara; grandmother, Marie Adkins; also, Nikole, Tana, Kimmy, and Jenna Harrington; Christine Swyers, who was like a sister; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

Calling hours will be Saturday, 2-5 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Samantha Rafferty Memorial Trust at any Chase Bank branch.
