Samuel Ray Meadows, born June 28, 1957 in Beckley, WV, ran through the gates of Heaven on September 2, 2011 in Akron, OH at the age of 54. He was a loving husband to his wife, Ruth Meadows of 25 years and caring father to his son, Timothy Meadows. He was the son of Marcella Meadows and the late Tommie Meadows and brother to Handley Meadows and the late Wayne Meadows. He was also an uncle to Justin Meadows. He was a hard working man and had a passion for running. Samuel was a caretaker for REM Ohio and Evant. He will be truly missed. Family and friends may call on Tuesday September 6 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held on Wednesday September 7 at 12 noon. Interment at East Akron Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Samuel's family.
