Sandra J. Barrett

Sandra J. Barrett, 82, passed peacefully away on January 24, 2025. She was born on October 21, 1942 the daughter of the late Robert and Mildred Buckmaster. 

She was born and resided in the Akron, Ohio area for a good portion of her life, graduating from Perry High School and also receiving her college degree from Akron University. As a single parent, she raised her daughter trying to instill resilience and independence, attributes she personified in everything she accomplished. 

Sandra moved to California in 1987 for many years and proudly began her own property management company she named The Barrett Group. Throughout her career, Sandra exemplified a profound commitment not only to her work but also to the people she encountered along the way. The Barrett Group became more than just a business; it was a testament to her passion and hard work. In her eyes, her colleagues and clients were like extended family. 

In her leisure time she would enjoy taking a morning walk to the local bakery and picking up a fresh scone, cookie or other delicious treat. She also found adventure driving through the beautiful valleys of Sonoma County wine county of California. Sandra whole heartedly believed life was a continuous adventure and she became living proof that when you do what you love your life opens the doors to success.

She cherished her family and on her final adventure she moved back to Akron in 2022. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother Bruce Buckmaster.

Sandra is survived by her loving family, her daughter Kelli Dailey; grandchildren Jonathan Halverson, Kevin Halverson, and Hannah Halverson; and great-grandchildren Rylee, Everett, Dylan, Liam and a special angel on the way, Layla. 

Cremation will take place.
