Sandra Kay Towsley, 66, of Akron, went to be with the Lord on November 29, 2012. She was born in Akron on May 7, 1946. Sandy will always be remembered and loved for her generous spirit. She was an active member of Maranatha Bible Church and a foster parent for 35 years. All those who loved her knew her as "Nanny".
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, Timothy Towsley and father, Clarence Frock. She will be deeply missed by her mother, Sarah Frock; children, Tammy (Brian) Daniel, Cindy Brumbaugh, Shawn Towsley, and Kevin Towsley; brother, Michael Frock; and grandchildren, Brittany Predojev, Cody Daniel, Todd Towsley, and Nicholas Brumbaugh.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday December 4 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Butch Pursley officiating. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
