Sandra L. Willis
Sandra L. Willis, 75, of Akron, passed away December 14, 2012. She was born in Barberton on November 8, 1937. Sandra will always be remembered as a hard worker. She devoted herself to her family and was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother.
In her free time, she enjoyed bowling and traveling, especially to the beach. She was also a big fan of the Browns and Indians.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer; son, Martin Allen; mother, Lorrain Holmes; and grandmother, Helen Lehman. She will be deeply missed by her children, Tamara, Bill (Carrie), and Andy (Connie); sisters, Sonja (Paul) Kiser and Becky (Chuck) Ryder; grandchildren, Corey, Brandi, and Andrew Jr.; great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends; and her beloved dog, Hendrix.
The family wishes to thank the staffs at Heather Knoll and Harbor Light Hospice for all the care given to Sandra. Special thanks to Kris Bosley for her devoted care.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, December 16 from 4-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
