Sandra McClung

Sandra passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the age of 83. She was born in Akron, Ohio on March 31, 1938 to parents Russell and Eva Mae (Halman) McClung.

She is preceded by her father, Russell McClung, mother, Eva Mae McClung, and brother, Douglas McClung.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Sharon (Doug) McClung-Vanek, nephew, Jeffrey McClung, great nephews, Jeremy and Joshua McClung, niece, Jill (Jeff) McClung-Jarvis, great-niece, Lauren Hinkle, great-nephew, Seth Hinkle, and her many cousins of the Halman and Wilmoth Families.

Sandra adored her family. She was so blessed to have many incredible friends in her life. Thank you to the selfless caregivers over her lifetime that loved her endlessly and that provided her with many opportunities and a life that was so meaningful. A special thank you to Vivian Kinney for being her personal care representative for so many years.

She loved life and had a memory like no other. She loved Jesus, to sing His Glory, and loved her church family. She loved rocking and feeding her baby dolls and had an abundance of stuffed animals. Sandra was a ray of sunshine and will be greatly missed.

Friends and family may come to call on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, and on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 12-1 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Burial to take place at Hillside Memorial Park.
