Sandra Lee {Zofchak} Borelli

Leonard P. Borrelli, age 75 passed away on May 29, 2021, with his beloved wife Sandra L. Borrelli, age 73, joining him in Heaven on Saturday, June 12, 2021. Both born in Akron, and longtime residents of Mogadore, Leonard was born on February 11, 1946, and Sandra on May 2, 1948.

They were preceded in death by Leonard's parents Carmen and Theresa {Petrarca} Borrelli and Sandra's parents, John and Eleanor {Hickman} Zofchak and brother Dennis Zofchak.

Leonard and Sandra will be deeply missed by their children Tracie (Rick) Studebaker, Leonard M. (Shannon) Borrelli, and Tonie (Randy) Corbett; grandchildren Derrik (Brittany) Kittle, Jordan (Tara) Kittle, Zachary (Samantha) Kittle, Casey, Clayton and Cameron Borrelli, Mikaela (Kaine) Mroczkowski, Alexandria, Carmen and Jackson Corbett; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters Nora (Phillip) Modie and Deborah Andrews; brother Frank (Faythe Ann) Borrelli.

Leonard and Sandra were married for 51 wonderful years. Leonard worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber for over 30 years, and Sandra kept a warm and welcoming home for their family and friends. Leonard was an avid car enthusiast, and Sandra was talented at crafts and knitting. They loved their second home in Largo, FL, where they hid from the Ohio winters, and Leonard perfected his shuffleboard skills. Leonard had two green thumbs, and it showed at both of their homes. They loved their cats Bailey and Willow, who accompanied them in their travels. Nags Head held a special place in both of their hearts, and they shared it often with their family.

Per Leonard's wishes, cremation has taken place, and he will be laid to rest together with Sandra at Greenwood Cemetery, Mogadore. Their viewing will take place on Wednesday, June 16, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron 44305 from 10:00 a.m. until the start of their 12:00 noon service.
