Sarah Wanda Konesky, 89, of Akron, passed away on May 12, 2012. She was born in Akron on January 10, 1923 to the late Wincenty and Stephanie Jarzemski. Sarah was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. In her free time she enjoyed crafts such as knitting and crocheting. She also loved to dance polkas, obereks, and waltzes.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 62 years, Walter Konesky; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Kevin Williams; and granddaughter, Kristen Nicole Williams. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, May 15 from 4-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where a prayer service will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
