Scott Beal

Scott Beal passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 16, 2022. Scott wore many hats in life but his favorites were those of a loving husband, father and church elder.

Scott was a proud graduate of Central-Hower High School. He loved the Lord, his God, with everything in him. Growing up and into adulthood, he was a long-standing member of Central Baptist Mission Center. It was there he met his treasured mentor, Rev. David Harbeson. Scott more recently served as an elder and treasurer at Ellet Community Church of God. He also served as secretary for the NEO Church of God Men's Ministry Board.

Scott is survived by his wife, Katie (Boyd) of 16 years and their two children Jonathan and Neva-Kate. His Beal family includes mother Betty, brothers Donald and Michael (Catherine), sister Becky and nephews Douglas (Emily), Zachary and Kevin. His Boyd family includes father-in-law Jimmie; mother-in-law Linda and sister-in-law Amanda. He is preceded in death by father Donald E Beal, sister-in-law Kathy and amazing best friend John Darnell.

Scott will be greatly missed by his church family and his many brothers and sisters in Christ. It can be said for certain that while he will be mourned here on earth, he is definitely partying with Jesus in Heaven.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, June 23 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., with services at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Glendale Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Scott's name to Ellet Community Church of God.
