Scott Charles Burkley

Scott C. "Scooter Ford" Burkley, age 51 of Randolph passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. He was born in Akron on December 8, 1970, a son of Kathleen {Furry} Burkley and Charles E. Burkley.

He was a long-time resident of Randolph who was known for his rough exterior, but also his giant heart. He loved his family, friends, and dogs deeply, and his house was always open and welcome to those who loved him in return. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and a long-standing mechanic at Fischer's Foreign Cars where he wasn't always on time, but he loved what he did, and it came easy to him.

Scott will always be loved by his wife of 4 years, Kat Burkley; daughter Sabrina Ann Burkley; step-daughter Emma Steele; granddaughter Everly Grace; mother Kathleen Burkley; father Charles E. Burkley; siblings Yvonne (Jack) Manos, John Burkley, Theresa Smith and Brian Burkley; best friend Josh Reed and many other cherished family and friends.

All are welcome to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Friday, August 12th from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with a funeral service to follow. Interment with well-deserved military honors will take place following the service at Atwater Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a memorial fund for Everly.
