Scott Cook (John), 58, of Akron, passed away November 28, 2013. He was born in Huron, Ohio on May 11, 1955 to the late John and Anna Cook. Scott was a proud employee of the railroad for 38 years. He belonged to the Mogadore Moose and the Brotherhood of the Railroad. Scott loved all aspects of nature with a special fondness for wolves. He will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and his sense of humor.
Scott will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Sheila; sisters, Suzanne Cook and Lori (Christopher) Drobney; stepsons, Matt (Kim) Palmer and Rocky (Erin) Palmer; nieces, Jennifer (Jim) Kargokas and Christina Drobney; in-laws, Kevin Reese, Bill (Sandra) Reese, Debbie (Randy) Jarvis, and Sandy (Lowell) White; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends; special railroad friends, Scott and Jeff; and special companion, Cookie.
Family and friends may call TODAY Sunday, December 1st from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard G. Woodin, Sr. officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
