Scott D. Boone
Scott D. Boone, 56, passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, November 12, 2008. He was born May 4, 1952 and was a lifelong resident of this area. A graduate of Buchtel High School class of 1971. He worked at his father's service station in the Highland Square area in high school and later at General Tire until their closing. Scott was a giving man. He loved fishing and the Cleveland Indians, watching them play all season long. His passion was baseball. He played in leagues as a teen. Scott always looked forward to his trips to Mountaineer Casino. A trip was planned for this month. His favorite all time movie was "King Kong". Most of all, Scott was a people person, never meeting a stranger. Scott loved his family and our family reunions every Labor Day in Maryland. Preceded in death by his father Dan R. Boone (2003); his grandparents Roy and Margaret Ellifretz who he called "Grut"; George and Ruth Boone; his aunt Doris Wright; and many close relatives. He is survived by his mother Carol; sisters Debbie and Judy Boone of Akron; brother Martin (Amy) Boone; nieces Alexandra, Shyann, and nephew Jared, all of Coshocton, OH; aunt Charlotte of Stow, OH; many aunts, uncles, and cousins in the state of Delaware; and over a hundred cousins living in Maryland and West Virginia, all who loved him. Special thanks to Drs. T. Elahi and Rasheed Nemer for all they have done for Scott over the years. "Scott, I will miss our Sunday afternoons together, sitting on my porch, talking about everything.
