"Together Again"

Shannon A. Cox, 73, of Akron, passed away on August 18, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. She was an avid Cleveland baseball fan and loved gardening, camping, golfing, bowling, playing cards, and crafting. She was designated "The Light Lady" by her late husband and recognized as such by family, friends, and neighbors due to her penchant for illuminating holiday decorations throughout each season. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones. 

She was preceded in death by parents, George and Ann (nee Cermak) Deger; her loving husband of 44 years, Jerry Cox; sister, Becky Deger; and brother, Bruce Deger. She is survived by daughter, Mindy; son, Joseph; siblings, Dianne Nathaniel and Joyce Cosgrove, as well as a multitude of cherished nieces and nephews, beloved cousins and extended family members, and treasured longtime friends. 

 Per her request, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center.
